Paver Installation in Reno & Northern Nevada

Patios, walkways, and driveways built on a properly compacted base so they hold their line through freeze and thaw.

Paver Installation Built For High Desert Conditions

Build a patio, walkway, or driveway that looks good, drains correctly, and does not crack the way concrete does in our winters. Perez Landscaping designs and installs interlocking pavers across Reno, Sparks, and Northern Nevada.

  • 35 years of local experience

Ramiro Perez has been installing pavers in Northern Nevada since 1990.

  • The base is where we spend the time

Proper excavation depth, compaction in lifts, and edge restraint.

  • Built for freeze and thaw

Reno crosses the freezing line dozens of times a winter. Pavers flex with ground movement instead of cracking against it.

  • You get the owner

Ramiro quotes the job and is on site while it gets built.

Paver Projects We Install

  • Patios

Outdoor living and dining areas with borders or inlays to define the space.

  • Walkways and entries

Even, safe footing connecting driveways, doors, and backyard areas.

  • Driveways

Built on a deeper base to carry vehicle loads without rutting where the tires track.

  • Steps and landings

Grade transitions tied into the main surface, often alongside a retaining wall.

Design Options

Choose colors, textures, and paver profiles that complement your home. We will walk you through patterns like running bond and herringbone, plus soldier course borders and contrasting bands that frame the surface.

Timeline

Most patios and walkways take a few days once we start. Driveways, demolition of existing concrete, and larger layouts take longer. You get a written estimate with a real timeline before work begins.

Care And Maintenance

Pavers are low maintenance. Sweeping and occasional rinsing keeps them clean, and joint sand can be topped up over time. If a section ever settles, individual pavers can be lifted and reset, which is a repair concrete does not offer.

“I had a rather small project for a retaining wall, and Perez Landscaping was perfect for the task. Ramiro the owner answered my request on Sunday, came out to scope the project on Monday, and had it done by Wednesday!”

Paver Installation FAQs

Will my pavers sink or shift?

Not if the base is right. Settling comes from excavation that was too shallow, base that was not compacted in lifts, or missing edge restraint.

Can you install over my existing concrete?

Sometimes, if the slab is sound, drains well, and the added height works with your doors. More often removal is the better answer, because a cracked slab keeps moving underneath.

How do pavers compare to concrete on price?

Pavers cost more up front. They also flex with ground movement instead of cracking, and can be spot repaired unit by unit rather than saw cut and repoured.

Do I need to seal them?

Sealing is optional. It deepens the color and helps with stains, and it needs redoing every few years. We will tell you whether it is worth it for your surface.

What time of year can you install?

Hardscape is not frost dependent, so we install roughly March through November.
